Sometimes, it only takes a single moment, and suddenly, an idea is there. Clear, tangible, ready to be brought to life. And sometimes, it takes years to truly understand what good design really means.

I’ve always known one thing: I want to create. To shape things, to improve them – whether in small details or big concepts.
But getting here? It wasn’t always a straight path. It took time, detours, and experience – and the realization that I never actually want to arrive.

Because for me, the magic lies in constant learning. In observing, questioning, experimenting. In exchanging ideas with others.
Design, to me, isn’t a final result – it’s an ongoing evolution. And that’s exactly what I love about it.

design is the thing that creatEs everything and nothing.

HYDROBAND Bachelorprojekt

Hydroband is a hydrogel strip that enhances the soil, supplies it with nutrients, and can be individually adapted to the soil conditions. It is based on a polymer hydrogel structure that can store and release large amounts of water. By analyzing a soil sample, the strip’s parameters can be precisely adjusted to ensure optimal soil supply. Its structure stimulates interaction with dried-out soil, helping to regulate moisture levels. Hydroband is ideal for agricultural use in a cyclical system tailored to a season from sowing to harvest.

IDENTITY

The decoration is intended to show that there is an individual behind every balaclava. Every person is unique in their own way. On the one hand, the masking leads to identification with the group, a feeling of togetherness, and on the other, the individual protects themselves from external attacks. The attached ‘spikes’ show the harsh reality of political persecution, condemnation and restricted expression of opinion, but also the softer side of the person behind the mask, if you take a closer look.

For the decoration, solid porcelain was painted creamy with the addition of water and filled into silicone bags. To achieve the desired result, nozzles were used that are actually used for baking. The creamy porcelain was then moulded into the desired shape using the baking utensils.

HIGH FISHING

High Fishing was designed as part of the exhibition at Design in Gesellschaft. The theme was Unding. In other words, things that we find unpleasant, superfluous, ugly or impossible. This exhibition piece is explicitly about the depiction of a living being that is threatened by rubbish and things produced from crude oil, but is then made from these very things and depicted as slippers that we bring in. Just as we invade their habitat. A contradictory idea and somehow nonsensical. Yet the fashion industry, for example, produces so much that we constantly have to throw away huge quantities because they are no longer in fashion. And this is exactly what the project aims to draw attention to, how much we actually overdo it in our consumption and behaviour. An absurdity par excellence.

COZY

Relation can be expressed in a wide variety of characteristics. Shape, colour, material, but also through a sense of belonging or a benefit. Cozy explores the boundaries of form and the resulting benefits. The fabric-covered foam moulds all follow the same principle. The principle of adapting to the human body. The curved outer shape of the individual cushions varies in intensity. The individual cushions support a wide variety of postures. There are no limits to their individual use. Whether as a support cushion, seat cushion or head cushion, the different curvatures provide the greatest possible comfort.
